Aspect Angle Mapping
Introduction
This code is designed to compute multistatic aspect angle maps. These maps are computed by combining the individual aspect angle computations (angle relative to the Earth's magnetic field) for pairwise points and a location in space. The IGRF magnetic field model is used for the computation and currently no effort is made to accomodate refraction effects.
This code is written using python, numpy, scipy, and matplotlib. The generated maps show the angle from perpendicular to the Earth's magnetic field for vectors bewteen points on the map. In the case of multiple TX and RX sites the maps are usually evaluated for all combinations of sites and the minimum resulting aspect angle is shown. Site locations are marked with a symbol defined in the plotting.
