Subject: [OpenRadar-announce] announcement - Cf/Radial : CF compliant netCDF
	radar/lidar data format

The National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) is developing a Cf/Radial [1], a new radar/lidar data format based on netCDF.  This data format is readable by any tools/languages that support netCDF [2].  We're interested in working with any organizations that use radar/lidar data to refine this data format.  Clearly, the more groups that adopt a common format, the easier it is to share analysis/display tools and data.

If you are interested in reviewing this data format, please read the current draft[3] and join the email list [4].
